Security arrangements have been finalized for the Test match between Pakistan and South Africa to be played in Karachi. According to the DIG Security and Emergency Services Division spokesperson, Karachi Police has finalized the security arrangements for the South African tax cut team’s tour to Pakistan and the Test match to be played from January 26, 2021, at the National Stadium Karachi.
At National Stadium Karachi, Airport, Route, Practice Grounds, Hotels and other locations, 5,000 Karachi Police personnel including 1,050 SSUK Commandos and 1,500 Security Division personnel and Traffic Police, Rapid Response Force, Special Branch, and other law enforcement agencies are on duty. Specialized command and control buses will be present at the National Stadium to monitor the stadium’s law and order situation.
DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed said, to improve security arrangements, expert snipers have been deployed in the areas adjacent to the stadium and routes. At the same time, aerial surveillance will also be carried out.
