The Punjab Arts Council has banned theaters of 30 Punjabi songs. After this ban, the actors will be able to Perform only on approved songs. Orders will be issued even if the censor rehearsal is shown in full original form.

Earlier, notices were also issued to two actresses for engaging in obscene acts during performances on stage. The Punjab Home Department has issued show-cause notices to three-stage actors for spreading obscenity in theaters.
