Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has issued a directive to his party leaders and social media team.

According to PTI sources, Imran Khan has instructed a group of party leaders and social media managers of the party to please ensure that there is no criticism of the new chief and the army. The party is said to be looking to improve its strained relationship with the military establishment.

According to party sources, after the appointment of General Asim as the Army Chief, Imran Khan does not want to see even a shadow of what happened between him as Prime Minister and General Asim Munir.

Meanwhile, PTI senior leader Fawad Chaudhry did not confirm or deny Imran Khan’s latest directive but said that the party’s policy is not to create tension with the institution. There have been problems with policies We have never had any problem with the army as an institution, he said that the army is essential for the security and defense of the country.

On Wednesday, Imran Khan congratulated General Sahir Shamshad and General Syed Asim Munir on assuming the new post and hoped that the new military leadership would try to overcome the lack of trust between the nation and the state that has been going on for the past 8 months. The power of the state comes from the people.

Imran Khan also shared a statement of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah that never forget that the armed forces are the servants of the nation, it is not your job to make national policy, it is us civilians who decide on these matters and it is yours. It is your duty to do the work that has been entrusted to you.” After the appointment of the new army chief, Imran Khan and the PTI changed their policy which they had been following for the last 8 months. . Since being ousted from government, Imran Khan has been highly critical of the military establishment, blaming it for the downfall of his government.

He also criticized the impartiality of the institution and repeatedly appealed to the military establishment under General Bajwa Retired to remove the current government and pave the way for general elections. Throughout these months, PTI’s social media team continued its campaign targeting the military establishment and the army’s high command. The abusive language was also used in these campaigns. Some PTI leaders also used abusive words against the military establishment and its key figures.

Earlier, Imran Khan insisted that the current government does not have the authority to appoint an army chief. He was of the opinion that General Bajwa should be extended, new elections should be held and the new government should appoint a new army chief.
