Rawalpindi: Change of newborn boy and girl in the hospital, both families refuse to take the daughter

According to police sources, one woman gave birth to a daughter while another gave birth to a son in a local hospital in Rawalpindi. Both families refused to accept the daughter after the newborns were switched.

Both families claim that the son is theirs. Rawalpindi Police has decided to conduct DNA tests of newborn babies and their parents to solve the case. Both the children are in the hospital nursery without their mother. The hospital administration is also investigating the incident on its own.
According to the police, no one has been taken into custody as both the children are in the hospital. According to preliminary investigation, the incident is a result of a misunderstanding.
