Former Pakistan fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz has levelled allegations against the current Prime Minister and former captain Imran Khan. Sarfraz Nawaz has claimed that Imran Khan used cocaine as a cricketer.
In an interview, 71-year-old he said, by referring to a match between England and Pakistan in 1987, that Imran Khan did not bowl well in the match, after which Imran Khan came to his home in Islamabad where Imran Khan used drugs while eating. He used cocaine in a Rs. 10, 20 note and dried cannabis to make hashish. He said that Mohsin Khan, Abdul Qadir, and Saleem Malik were also at my house with them.
It should be noted that Sarfraz Nawaz, who played 55 Tests and 45 ODIs for Pakistan from 1969 to 1984, was Imran Khan’s bowling partner for a long time. He was also called the king of reverse swing.
Sarfraz Nawaz, who took 177 wickets in Test cricket and 63 in ODI cricket, entered politics after retirement from cricket and won the 1985 general election as an independent candidate and was elected a member of the Punjab Assembly while also serving as a commentator. He also scored more than 5,000 runs in first-class cricket.
Sarfraz Nawaz also said that if Imran Khan considered his claim to be false, he could take him to court. It should be noted that former Pakistan cricketers have been accused of taking drugs before.
