Senior journalist Tariq Mahmood was associated with various newspapers and tv channels ARY, Neo TV, Samaa TV, and now Hum News. He was a Senior Journalist and also a Senior Professor at Numl University Islamabad. The journalist community expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Tariq Mahmood. They said he was very elegant, sociable, and beloved.
Tariq Mahmood was diagnosed with the covid-19 last month and was taken to the hospital a few days before his death. When he had difficulty breathing and became ill, he went to see his real creator.
According to Tariq Mahmood’s son, his last corona test was negative. But he died last night due to a lung infection. Expressing regret over the death of Tariq Mehmood Malik, the Foreign Minister said that he was an astute and seasoned reporter. May Allah, the Lord of Glory, forgive and raise the ranks of the deceased and grant patience to the family.

Earlier on November 14, Arshad Waheed Chaudhry, a senior journalist associated with Geo TV, had also passed away due to Covid. Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth had passed away due to Covid.
Former NDMA chairman Lt. Gen. Muhammad Afzal’s covid test came positive and former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has also contracted the covid-19.
