Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has extended an invitation to the Argentinian football team to visit Lyari, a Karachi neighborhood renowned for its passionate football culture and admiration for South American teams, particularly Argentina.

During a meeting with Argentina’s Ambassador, Sebastián Seuss, the CM and the ambassador discussed strengthening bilateral relations between Sindh and Argentina. As per the CM’s spokesperson, Argentinian investors are expected to visit Sindh soon to engage with key departments.

Chief Minister Shah highlighted investment opportunities in Karachi’s water infrastructure, sharing that the Sindh government has secured $50 million from the World Bank for saltwater treatment projects. He encouraged private sector involvement to help provide clean water to residents.

Ambassador Seuss noted that Argentine companies listed on the stock exchange are eager to invest in Sindh, particularly in establishing warehouses. Following the discussions, the CM directed the Investment, Food, and Irrigation Departments to coordinate with the Argentinian envoy.

As part of efforts to promote sports and cultural ties, the Sindh CM invited Argentina’s football team to Lyari’s Kukri Ground. It was also agreed that a football team would be developed in Sindh, with Argentinian national team stars participating in training matches in Lyari.
