Federal Minister of Education said that the final decision on schools will be taken at the NCOC meeting, examinations in March will be postponed and summer vacations will be reduced this year.

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said that the decision regarding the opening of schools in the country will be taken on 4 January, the final approval will be given by the NCOC. Speaking on a program on a private TV channel, he said that a decision on whether to open schools or not would be taken on 4 January, adding that any final decision in this regard would be taken at the NCOC meeting. However, exams in March will be postponed after that, while summer vacations will also be less this year.

The Federal Minister for Education said that last year all over the world including Pakistan changed, 2020 was a difficult year for the world, educational institutions, offices, industries, and markets were closed, due to Covid had to go online system instead of school attendance. Due to Covid, many loved ones have also left us, but in spite of all the difficulties, work is underway on a uniform curriculum. In this regard, the curriculum up to the primary level has been accepted by the three provinces, but only in Sindh. Despite Covid, all the staff continued to work for a uniform curriculum. A uniform curriculum would be a positive step for the whole country. Therefore, we are trying to make a uniform curriculum model for students in most cities. Faced, but all the challenges of education will be accepted and worked on.

Replying to a question, he said that the future of PDM was over, the future of PDM seemed to be sinking after the Lahore meeting, the noise of PDM would continue but there would be no life in between.
