Turkey reduced the quarantine period for contact with a novel coronavirus case to ten days on Monday.

The Health Ministry stated in a statement that it updated its COVID-19 guidelines based on studies from the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the European Centers for Disease Control (ECDC), which it said it carefully monitors.

“Quarantine is enforced for 10 days for those who had close contact. People who do not acquire any symptoms during the quarantine period are released at the conclusion of the tenth day without having to undergo a PCR test, but they must continue to take the appropriate precautions in public places “The amended statement stated.
