The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has rejected rumors circulating on social media claiming that it has imposed a visa ban on Pakistani citizens.
In a video statement, the UAE’s Consulate General, Bakheet Obaid Al-Roumi, clarified that there is no such visa ban. He confirmed that the UAE consulate’s visa section is fully operational, allowing Pakistanis to apply for work visas without any restrictions. Additionally, there is no age limit for those seeking to enter the UAE.
Earlier this month, on June 7, Pakistan’s Foreign Office emphasized the need for regulated movement across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, requiring individuals wishing to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan to possess both a visa and an Afghan passport. Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stressed the importance of adhering to visa regulations for cross-border movement.
In related news, on March 7, Italy began offering visa services in Lahore, with plans to expand these services to other major cities in Pakistan soon, as announced by Italian Embassy First Secretary Augusto Palmeiri during a speech at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
