An international magazine, UNIPATH, has lauded the leadership of Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, in its most recent issue. The publication highlights his crucial role in safeguarding the nation’s security during tumultuous periods.
In its commentary, UNIPATH states, “Chief of Army Staff Gen. Syed Asim Munir upholds Pakistani security through turbulent times.” The magazine emphasizes that General Munir, who took command in November 2022, is a leader dedicated to the security, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan. It also notes his effective navigation of both decisive military actions against extremist groups and strategic military diplomacy.
General Munir has placed particular emphasis on combating the Tehrik-i Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also known as Fitna al Khawarij. According to the publication, under his leadership, the military has executed 22,409 intelligence-based operations targeting terrorist elements and their supporters from November 2022 to July 2024. These efforts have resulted in the elimination of 398 terrorists, including 31 high-value targets, underscoring the army’s determination to eradicate terrorism in the region.
