Youth Council Pakistan International Islamic University Islamabad Female Chapter organized a study circle on the topic “Islamic State and Values of Human Rights”. The Campus Head YCP IIUI Female Chapter Ms. Kehkashan Ali Musa started the study circle with an introduction. She related the rights in Shariah and Common law and overviewed the base of the law of both systems. Other members discussed Human Rights through Islamic and Western perspectives where they talked about Islam being the actual pioneer of Human Rights, dating back to the day of the Charter of Medina. They also discussed the making of the UN charter and how the West developed human rights protection, the UDHR, and other UN article. All the members participated enthusiastically. Members of YCP including Zarwasha Kainat, Arooj Shahbaz, Alishba Ghaffar, Imaan Fatima, Rabiya Naseer, Muqaddas, Ayesha Saif, Ena, Muneeba Urooj, Areej Saif, and Fariha attended the study circle and shared their thought-provoking views on the topic. In the end, the Deputy Campus Head of the YCP IIUI Female Chapter Ms. Shanza Matloob summarised the study circle with her closing remarks. She said we will focus on healthy activities like book reading and study circles for Youth Empowerment.
