The Member of National Assembly on minority seat Ramesh Kumar has said that National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has failed to take action against the illegal construction of over 500 religious seminaries in Thar and Badin.
While questioning the role of NACTA in the meeting of the standing committee of the National Assembly on Defence, Ramesh Kumar said that the authority was deviating from its TORs and has failed to deliver.
Meanwhile, the official of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has informed the committee that the complaints related to blasphemy have declined in the country.
While informing the committee headed by Amjad Khan, the officials stated that on the directives of the FIA, access to all the pornographic websites in Pakistan was blocked by PTA.
The officials of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) also informed the committee that the social media firms including Facebook, Twitter, and Tiktok failed to respond to the questions of NACTA.
