The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has shown strong concerns over the Electronic-Voting and termed these useless.
The ECP in its response to the amendments proposed regarding the E-Voting in the Election Amendment Bill,2020 passed by the National Assembly said that ECP in by-elections 2018 had submitted a pilot project report to the National Assembly regarding the E-voting;
However, no progress was made on the report. The Commission adopted the stance that audit of the E-voting was done by the third party and the party informed the ECP of some loopholes in the E-voting system prepared by the National Data Base Registration Authority (NADRA) which needed to be addressed on time.
