The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has declared coronavirus vaccination mandatory for participation in wedding functions and dining in restaurants.
The KP government in a meeting with representatives of the Restaurants and Wedding Halls Owners Association on Sunday emphasised them for implementation of the new directives.
The meeting reviewed the coronavirus situation in KP. The representatives of the Wedding Halls Owners Association briefed the official about their problems and apprehensions. It was agreed that coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) would be observed and only vaccinated persons would be allowed to participate in weddings and for dinner in restaurants.
All the staffers of wedding halls will be vaccinated and they will only serve food to those guests who are vaccinated. The wedding halls and restaurants managements will ensure the implementation of SOPs and take part in creating awareness among people about it. The wedding halls and hotels violating the directives will face action.
