On Saturday, the Counter-Terrorism Department announced that nine suspected terrorists were killed in an alleged encounter in Mustang, Balochistan. The News reported
The alleged terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire that took place Friday night, according to a CTD official.
The militants opened fire on CTD officials, prompting them to respond quickly and effectively, killing nine terrorists, according to a representative for the department.
The alleged militants were also caught with a huge number of weapons, including nine Kalashnikov rifles, 20 kg of explosive material, prima cord, detonator, and RPG rockets, according to a CTD spokesperson.
On October 21, three suspected terrorists were killed during a Peshawar police and Counter-Terrorism Department operation. Daesh-Khorasan, the group’s Afghanistan affiliate, was responsible for the militants.
Because it was dark, three more offenders managed to escape during the midnight operation, according to police.
