The Turnout in the NA-133 by-elections remained unexpectedly low with 18.59 per cent as out of total 440,845 voters, only 80,022 used their rights to franchise.
The election on the constituency was considered as a tough competition between the PTI and PML-N, however the PTI candidate was declared disqualified and PPP emerged second top party with over 30k votes.
The PPP candidate was defeated by PML-N candidate Shaista Parvez Malik by taking over 45k votes.
