Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar, the Federal Minister for Industries and Production, on Monday promised the Company of the government’s full assistance in carrying out its investment plans and shared Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s objective of making Pakistan an economic powerhouse.
According to a news statement released here, he remarked this in a meeting with Coca-Cola Icecek Pakistan (CCI) top management. CCI Pakistan’s team discussed its 7th Coca-Cola production plant, which cost $50 million to build, as well as CSR efforts and fresh investment prospects.
They also talked about some of the concerns surrounding sugar tariffs on beverages. The business’s greenfield project would be finished by February 2022, according to the meeting, and the corporation would ask Pakistan’s Prime Minister to launch the project. They went on to say that the project will largely serve the northern region’s beverage demands. Furthermore, it will generate cash for the government as well as third-party suppliers, dealers, and distributors through direct and indirect job possibilities.
The minister praised CCI Pakistan’s commercial growth plans, saying the investment reflected the government’s effective pro-investment and pro-business policies. According to Khusro, the beverage and food industry accounts for 12% of LSMI, and its expansion will create new employment and support auxiliary businesses as the company expands.
