Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to help Saudi Arabia in planting 10 billion trees around the kingdom.
Green diplomacy between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is being formally started, according to local media. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam addressed the inauguration event.
He went on to say that Pakistan’s Billion Tree Tsunami Project is being praised all around the world and is being used as a model. The two nations have established a formal agreement for tree planting in Saudi Arabia. Pakistan would help Saudi Arabia plant 10 billion trees under the terms of the agreement. He stated that Pakistan’s green vision is now being recognized throughout the world and that our green vision is now being viewed as a model.
