During the PTI’s Amr-bel-Maroof public gathering, Pakistani singer and philanthropist Abrar-ul-Haq gave the Fajr azan at Maghrib time.
A video of the singer, who is also a member of the ruling PTI, gives the call to prayer during a PTI rally at Maghrib time. However, the singer said “Assalat-o-Khairum’minann noum (prayer is better than sleep)” — Arabic words reserved only for morning prayer.
The rallygoers immediately noticed the mistake and began hooting. The call to prayer was interrupted in the middle, and Senator Faisal Javed repeated the azan.
