Former Pakistan cricket captain Mohammad Hafeez’s support for Prime Minister Imran Khan has upset PPP leader and Sindh Information Minister Saeed Ghani, who has retaliated.
Mohammad Hafeez praised Prime Minister Imran Khan on Twitter on Sunday after the National Assembly was dissolved on his recommendation following a dramatic turn of events in the lower house, putting the country into a constitutional crisis.
After the “surprise,” the cricketer praised Imran Khan, calling him a “true legend.”
The PPP leader answered by telling him to stay out of this mess and concentrate on his game.
Ghani said, “Play cricket, not with the country.”
Hafeez was not the only cricketer to express support for Imran Khan’s decision.
Former pacers Wasim Akram and Waqar Younus also backed the PM’s move.
