Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon has announced to hold the girls and boys tennis tournament and donkey cart race in connection with Sports Festival to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day of Pakistan.
The donkey cart race was held on August 21 at 9 am starting from the Commissioner’s Office and ending at ICI Bridge Lyari. Abdul Razak Baloch was the event organizer and Assistant Commissioner Lyari Abdul Karim Memon was the in-charge of the event.
As many as 30 donkey carts participated in the Independence Day Donkey Cart Race held at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Boxing Club Lyari on Sunday to mark the independence celebrations.
Khalid Ahmed’s donkey cart, Madhubala, won the race and the rider was awarded winner trophy and Rs. 25,000 by Karachi
Commissioner Mohammad Iqbal Memon.
The tennis tournament will be held from August 24 to 27 at the Karachi Club
