A local female artist was reportedly gang-raped by three men during a wedding ceremony in Muzaffargarh, Punjab.
According to police reports, the woman, who resides in Muzaffargarh, had been invited to perform at the event. During the ceremony, the suspects allegedly posed as police officers, took her away, and subsequently assaulted her in the presence of their accomplices before fleeing the scene. The woman stated that during the wedding function, the suspects pretended to be police officers and took her away, then sexually assaulted her along with their accomplices and fled the scene.
Following her complaint, the police registered a case against the three suspects. Investigations will continue after the medical report is completed, with initial findings confirming evidence of sexual assault. Police have launched operations to apprehend the suspects.
