Just a day after his extravagant wedding, YouTuber Rajab Butt was arrested for receiving a lion cub as a gift and possessing an unlicensed firearm. The situation took an unexpected turn when Malik Zaman Naseeb, a politician and close friend of Rajab, revealed that someone “very close” to him had betrayed him, leading to the arrest.
During an appearance on a show, Malik Zaman disclosed shocking details about the incident. “It was someone inside the house who knew about it, someone close to Rajab. We caught him. Everything happened so quickly. He was very close, but that didn’t matter,” Zaman explained.
He further revealed that the betrayal was part of a well-planned strategy. “The plan was set for Sunday night, but Rajab didn’t show up at home that night. He arrived around 5 AM the next day, by which time everyone had already left. The next day, they executed their plan, and I’m amazed at how quickly they acted. After Sunday, they moved fast and caught him,” he said.
Zaman described how the police arrived at Rajab’s home while he was asleep. “The FIR was filed, and Rajab was taken from his house while he was still in bed. The police came, took him to the station, and it was just a routine procedure. The wildlife department had come to check on the cub, and the police also found a gun in his room.”
Zaman also clarified that Rajab had the proper license for the rifle he received as a wedding gift, stating, “As for the gun, Rajab was given a rifle as a wedding gift, and it was licensed in his name. The license was in process, and it would take about 25-30 days to finalize.”
Malik Zaman emphasized that Rajab had followed all the necessary legal procedures for the rifle and made it clear that the arrest stemmed from the betrayal by someone close to him. The incident has raised many questions, leaving uncertainty about its impact on Rajab’s career and personal life.
Earlier, Rajab Butt was detained by the police and the Wildlife Department for displaying weapons and keeping a lion cub. The police, along with the wildlife authorities, raided his house, and Rajab was taken into custody by the Chung police. The police stated that Rajab was arrested for showing off weapons and possessing a lion cub.
