A large part of the world-famous Ziarat Marble Mountain in Safi Tehsil of Mohmand Tribal District suddenly collapsed on Monday afternoon. According to reports from Safi Tehsil, dozens of laborers, more than ten marble vehicles, and heavy machinery including drivers, conductors, and operators were buried when the marble mountain collapsed. There is a fear of heavy loss of life and property.
According to the information received until 8 pm, ten persons have been killed so far. The bodies of Farhad son of Sher Khan resident of Adin Khel Safi, Farhad Khan son of Mirzaman resident of Ziarat Clay, Waheed son of Mirzada resident of Ziarat have been exhumed from the rubble. So far, eight injured Israr son of Jamshed, Ilyas son of Bakhtzada, Naik Muhammad son of Khan Bacha, Saleh son of Khan Bacha, resident of Pandialai, Adil son of Khaista Rehman Pandialai, Masil Khan, Abdullah have been rushed to Ghalanai, Peshawar and Bajaur hospitals.
