Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet three former and one current captain of the Pakistan cricket team, including Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ehsan Mani, to discuss reforms to improve cricket.
A delegation of current and three former captains of the cricket team who met the Prime Minister in Islamabad will also include Pakistan’s current Test cricket team captain Azhar Ali, along with Wasim Akram, Misbah-ul-Haq, and Muhammad Hafeez. Chief will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Muhammad Hafeez, the only all-rounder in international cricket to score 2,000 runs and take 50 wickets in T20 cricket, had made a special request for a special meeting with the Prime Minister, who will meet the former and current captains.
In a meeting with the Prime Minister, Hafeez will hold important talks on the demise of departmental cricket in domestic cricket and cricketers’ employment, which will go a long way in bringing about reforms in cricket.
