PTI leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi has resigned from the post of Leader of the Opposition. Regarding the resignation of Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that Firdous Shamim Naqvi had tendered his resignation on the same day after apologizing. The Prime Minister has not yet made any decision regarding the resignation of Firdous Shamim Naqvi.
Firdous Shamim Naqvi had criticized federal ministers, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, over the gas crisis, which prompted the PTI’s central leadership to demand the resignation of opposition leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi in the Sindh Assembly. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said that Firdous Shamim Naqvi has resigned on moral grounds. Firdous Shamim Naqvi later apologized, but the central leadership instructed Firdous Shamim Naqvi to resign from the post of Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly.
