An Anti-terrorism court has acquitted Prime Minister Imran Khan in a parliament attack case.
According to details, the anti-terrorism court judge Raja Jawad Abbas delivered a reserved verdict on the plea of PM Imran Khan in the Parliament attack case. According to which the court granted the appeal of PM Imran Khan and then acquitted him.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s lawyer had also submitted a written argument on the plea of acquittal in which mention that, Imran Khan was implicated in a false and baseless case, there was no evidence against him, and no witness testified against him.
On the other hand, the court had also decided to charge the other accused. The court has also named the accused in the case including, The Federal Ministers Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pervez Khattak, Shafqat Mehmood, Asad Umar and Aleem Khan at the next hearing.
The court said in its judgment that, The president has immunity so the case will not be prosecuted to his extent, but the other accused named in the case will be indicted on November 12.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan had filed acquittal petitions on PTV and Parliament attack cases and earlier the court had also acquitted Prime Minister Imran Khan in the SSP torture case.
It should be noted that, during the 2014 sit-in, the cases were registered against Imran Khan and against PTI leaders under the provisions of the terrorism.
