Gilgit-Baltistan’s political battle, polling for the Assembly elections
Gilgit: Polling is underway for the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly. Most parts of Gilgit-Baltistan are cold due to rain and snow, but the political heat is at its peak, with polling for the Assembly elections underway. Several parties, including PTI, PML-N, and PPP, are contesting the elections.
Voting for 23 of Gilgit-Baltistan’s 24 seats began at 8 a.m. and will continue until 5 p.m. The total number of registered voters in Gilgit-Baltistan is 745,361, of which 453,000 are male voters, and 340,000 are female voters.
