The internal story of the reshuffle in the federal cabinet has come to light.
According to sources, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had asked for the portfolio of Interior Ministry as soon as the government was formed. Prime Minister Imran Khan fulfilled Sheikh Rashid’s long wish. Sources said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had appointed Sheikh Rashid as Railway Minister on the basis of experience while former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Naeem-ul-Haq had persuaded Sheikh Rashid at the Ministry of Railways.
Sheikh Rashid was given the task of dealing with the PDM’s long march. In this regard, Sheikh Rashid said that he would meet the expectations of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
