Pakistan Navy and Anti-Narcotics Force have seized billions of narcotics in an operation in the coastal area of Balochistan.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Navy spokesman, the Pakistan Navy and the ANF conducted an open-sea operation in the Jiwani area of Balochistan and seized drugs worth Rs1.8 billion. According to the statement, an attempt was being made to smuggle drugs, including 200 kg of ice and 99 kg of crystals, which were handed over to the ANF for further legal action.
According to the Pakistan Navy, an attempt was being made to smuggle the drugs to an unknown location in the Arabian Sea, but a successful operation was made possible by the Pakistan Navy’s strict monitoring at sea. According to sources, this is the second major operation of Pakistan Navy and Anti-Narcotics.
It may be recalled that earlier in April, the Pakistan Navy and anti-narcotics forces had seized drugs worth Rs2.25 billion in a joint operation. According to Pakistan Navy and Anti-Narcotics Forces, the operation was carried out in the sea adjacent to the Pashukan area of Balochistan, during which 100 kg of ice drug was recovered from the suspicious boat.
A spokesman for the Pakistan Navy and Anti-Narcotics said the operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence information and seized drugs worth about Rs2.55 billion.
