According to details, the PPP Sindh government has given great good news to the government employees of the province. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved to give utility allowance to government employees of the province.
On the direction of Chief Minister Sindh, a written order was sent to the Chief Secretary Sindh from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Thus, the salaries of government employees of the province have been increased in the form of utility allowance even before the budget of the next financial year. In this regard, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that utility allowance should be given to government employees under the laws.
It should be noted that the Sindh government is the only provincial government in the country which had announced a 10% increase in the salaries of government employees in the current financial year’s budget. On the other hand, the federal government is also considering increasing the salaries of government employees. The government has already started considering increasing the salaries and pensions of government employees before the budget for the next financial year.
A few weeks ago, government employees across the country staged a sit-in outside Parliament House after salaries and pensions were not increased in the current financial year’s budget. Civil servants had demanded that the economic situation worsen, so salaries and pensions should be increased. The government had promised to consider the demands of government employees, after which the call for protest was postponed till 12 January. Now the government has joined hands to increase the salaries and pensions of government employees.
