Power is being restored gradually in various areas after a major nationwide breakdown. However, power has not been fully restored in many areas including Karachi, Hyderabad, and Peshawar.
According to the NTDC spokesperson, the power restoration process is underway, power has been restored from 500 and 220 KV grid stations in the country.
Electricity has been restored in Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Jhelum, Gujarat, Sargodha, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Okara, Sahiwal, and Multan.
There was a major power breakdown across the country last night. Power could not be restored even after 12 hours in different cities.
According to a preliminary report, a fault occurred in Guddu at 11:41 a.m. Tripping the high transmission line raised the system frequency from 50 to 0, and power plants were shut down due to a fall in frequency, according to a power division spokesman.
According to an NTDC spokesperson, a committee has been formed to investigate the power breakdown.
Like the rest of the country, the power supply is suspended in Karachi. However, K Electric is claiming restoration of power in a few areas of the city.
K Electric says that the process of partial restoration of power has started in different areas of Karachi, phased restoration of power is underway in different areas of the city.
According to the spokesman, North Karachi, Nagan Chowrangi, Nazimabad, Jacob Line, Garden East, Defense Shara Faisal. PECH Society, Shah Faisal Colony, Baloch Colony, various blocks of Federal B Area, Baldia Town, Walika, Airport Power has been restored in New Nazimabad, Site Area, Orangi Town, different areas of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Landhi, Malir and Korangi sectors.

K Electric said that technical teams are trying to restore power as soon as possible. So far power has not been restored in Old City Area, Saddar, Lyari, Clifton, Bahadurabad, Dhoraji, Tariq Road, PIB Colony.
Besides, power has not been restored in KDA Scheme One, Karsaz, Bahadurabad, Mahmoodabad, Malir Cantt, Gulistan-e-Jauhar Scheme 33, various sectors of New Karachi, and several blocks of North Nazimabad.
Lahore was also badly affected by the power breakdown, but power has begun to be partially restored in different parts of the city.
The process of restoration of the power supply, which was cut off at night, started at around 9 am. Generators are being used to generate electricity in hospitals and other important institutions.
According to LESCO spokesperson, power is being restored in phases. Power has been partially restored in Johar Town, Faisal Town, Township, College Road, Garden Town, Shadman, Garhi Shahu, Dharampura, GOR, and Upper Mall.
Electricity has also been restored at Fruit Hospital and Services Hospital in Lahore.
Power restoration has started in Faisalabad and other districts of the Fesco region and so far power has been restored from 11 grid stations.
Power has not been fully restored in many areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar.
Partial restoration of power has started in some areas of Peshawar, power has not been restored in some areas yet.
PESCO spokesperson Shaukat Afzal said that the process of restoration of power on various grids is in full swing, partial restoration of power has started in some areas.
In Peshawar, Dilla Zak Road, Warsak Road, Bara Road, Charsadda Road and the inner city are still without power.
