ISLAMABAD: The Punjab Cabinet has approved the deployment of 280 Rangers for security during the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman to Punjab. According to a report published by Asif Mahmood in Jang daily, Prince Muhammad bin Salman is coming to hunt in Layyah and Bhakkar areas of South Punjab. Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit is expected to take place on January 15. But the Saudi government has not yet announced a final date.
According to Punjab Home Department Governor Tabuk will also be accompanied. After getting approval from the Cabinet. Which has sent a request to the Federal Ministry of Home Affairs for the deployment of two Rangers companies. Approval for the deployment of Rangers has been circulated by the provincial cabinet. The federal government had last month issued special permits to the Saudi Crown Prince for Bustard hunting in Pakistan. A special plane headed by Sheikh Khalifa Saif Al Nahyan and Sultan Saeed Ahmed reached the Panjgur area of Makran Division where they were escorted to their palace by road security under tight security.
Earlier, the royal delegation was received at the airport by Panjgur Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq Sasoli, tribal elders, and senior military and civilian officials. Sources said that the hunting delegation has hunting equipment and falcons while they will hunt for Bustard during their stay in Panjgur under a license issued by the Foreign Ministry.
