There is evidence of Asad Durrani’s links with RAW, Ministry of Defense
The Defense Ministry has said that Lieutenant General (retd) Asad Durrani has been in touch with hostile elements of other countries since 2008.
The Ministry of Defense has taken a stand on the issue of removing Asad Durrani’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
The Ministry of Defense has submitted a written reply in the Islamabad High Court on the issue of removing the name of Lieutenant General (retd) Asad Durrani from the ECL.
The written reply said that there was evidence that Asad Durrani had been in touch with the Indian intelligence agency RAW.
In a written reply, the Ministry of Defense requested the Islamabad High Court not to remove the name of retired General Asad Durrani from the ECL.
Asad Durrani has applied to be removed from ECL to go abroad. His name has been included in the exit control list from 2019 on the recommendation of the Ministry of Defense.
According to sources, the hearing on the issue of removing the name of General (retd) Asad Durrani from the ECL is expected in the second week of February.
