Islamabad: Due to the continuous reduction in the prices of petroleum products in the global market, relief can be given to the people in the country up to 38 rupees per liter and the prices are likely to decrease today.
According to the details, there is a trend of continuous decline in oil prices in the global markets, Pakistani people are forced to buy expensive petrol and diesel, while the global price of crude oil has reached 71 to 75 dollars per barrel.
According to the sources of the Ministry of Petroleum, the price of petrol in Pakistan is about 186 rupees in international ratio, and the purchase of petrol is being done at 76 to 77 dollars per barrel.
Levy charges on petrol are currently being collected at Rs 50 per liter while the sales tax on all petroleum products is still zero.
According to the officials, OGRA will extinguish the working petroleum division of oil purchase till December 15, and OGRA working will consist of oil purchase till December 15. The final decision on OGRA working will be taken by the Finance Minister in consultation with the Prime Minister.
According to sources in the Ministry of Petroleum, the government is earning up to Rs. 25 per liter on petrol, crude oil is selling at 76.15 dollars per barrel in the Brent oil market, and the price of crude oil is 71.46 dollars per barrel in the WTI market.
It should be noted that the price of petroleum products will be changed on December 15.
