ISLAMABAD: Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi has taken over as the 22nd Chief of Pakistan Navy. A prestigious change of command ceremony of the Chief of Naval Staff was held at Headquarters PNS Zafar with the participation of dignitaries. Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi handed over the command of Pakistan Navy to Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi.

He was Addressing the function. The retiring Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi said that we are facing other challenges, including security. We have faced many challenges in the region in the last three years, and we are committed to further improving the Pakistan Navy. 4 Chinese frigates will join Pakistan Navy in the next two years, a naval base is being set up at Gwadar, Marine Training Center has been shifted from Karachi to Gwadar.
