In a clash, at least 14 security personnel have been killed and 6 wounded in an attack in Takhar province. The recent clashes between terrorists and security personnel in Khawaja Bahauddin district lasted for two hours. Takhar is among the volatile province in Afghanistan where the majority of districts are contested between government forces and armed fighter led by Taliban. The experts believe recent surge in violence can further derail the Afghan peace process which started after many national and International efforts.
