The Afghan Taliban has reportedly warned Turkey to desist from keeping intentions of taking the security of the Kabul airport after the US withdrawal.
The Taliban leadership in its response to Turkey’s offer to the US for handing over the security of Kabul airport to the Turkish government said that it was not appropriate for an Islamic country to prefer the path of enmity with a brother Muslim country at the behest of infidel invaders.

It must be noted that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently had proposed a new trilateral mechanism involving Turkey, Pakistan, and Hungary for the security of Kabul airport after the withdrawal of foreign troops.
“If they don’t want us to leave Afghanistan, if they want a (Turkish) support there, then the diplomatic, logistic, and financial support that the United States will give us will be of great importance,” Erdogan said.
Turkey is reported to have offered to guard the airport amid concerns over the security along major transport routes and at the airport, which is the main gateway to Kabul.
Turkey currently has some 500 soldiers in the war-torn country.
