Yesterday, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and ISI Chief General Faiz Hameed briefed Parliamentary Committee on National Security in 8 hours long briefing on County’s internal and external security affairs. Attended by Opposition Leader along with seniors opposition members, also accompanied by the senior leadership from the Government side.
DG ISI gave a complete and thorough briefing on the Afghan Peace Process, Kashmir and Counter Terrorism and Intelligence development in Pakistan.
A Journalist asked a question from the COAS whether Pakistan will be giving Bases to US or not, to which General Bajwa replied in a clearer terms that “Ask the Government and not me, however Pakistan will not be giving bases to America.” Another story of inside briefing of ISI and Army Chief came out regarding the absence of PM Imran Khan.
PPP Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked the Government leadership that PM should be in the meeting, why didn’t he come? To which Speaker Asad Qaiser replied: “Ask the Opposition Leader, he had threatened to boycott the today’s session in case of PM presence in the meeting”
