Pakistani cricket team Captain Babar Azam and all-rounder Shoaib Malik joined the national squad for the Bangladesh series after testing negative for Covid-19, The News International reported.
Both players had joined the national squad at the team’s hotel in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka on Tuesday and they will take part in the training session on Wednesday.
The team will start a three-hour training session today at the local time at 1:45 pm.
The three-match series of T20 against Bangladesh will begin on November 19th.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan has regained full fitness and participated in the Mirpur Cricket Academy’s training session. During the T20 World Cup, the batter had a chest infection and spent two nights in the hospital before playing in the semi-final.
“Players stayed busy training for three hours in which they batted, bowled, fielded and were seen engaged in physical exercise,” according to a team official.
On November 20 and 22, the second and third T20 internationals with Bangladesh will take place in Dhaka.
The games will be day-night events, with supporters in Bangladesh returning to the gallery for the first time since March 2020.
During their tour to Bangladesh, Pakistan will also play two Test matches.
