Quetta: The Balochistan government has issued a notification to increase the price of bread while kneeling in front of bakers.
According to the Balochistan government notification, the price of bread weighing 250 grams in the province will be Rs 200. Violators will be prosecuted. After the issuance of the notification, the 12-day strike of the bakers has ended. Besides, most of the ovens in Quetta have been opened.
It should be noted that after the increase in the price of flour in Balochistan, the bakers had demanded an increase in the official price of bread. The bakers went on strike after the government did not meet their demands. During the strike, the chapati and bread price was being charged at Rs 30 in different city hotels.
