Karachi: Maryam Nawaz has refused to be released on bail in a case of violation of Mazar-e-Quaid.
It may be recalled that before the PDM Procession yesterday, political slogans were chanted during the visit of PML-N leaders to Mazar-e-Quaid. A case has been registered against him in Brigade police station.
According to police, the case has been registered under sections 6, 8 and 10 of the Quaid-e-Azam Shrine Protection Act.
Police have arrested PML-N leader Capt (retd) Safdar in a private hotel this morning. Maryam Nawaz also refused to be arrested on bail in the case.
The decision was taken in a meeting with the central leadership. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Pervez Rashid, Muftah Ismail, Maryam Aurangzeb participated in it.
