The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is considering locating the state-of-the-art cricket stadium and a five-star hotel in the Margalla Range foothills.
During a news conference on Tuesday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed disclosed that the CDA has been given the go-ahead to begin the tendering process for the stadium as well as the world-quality hotel.
“I have directed CDA Chairman Aamir Ahmed Ali to begin the process of constructing an international-standard stadium and hotel in the capital.” The tendering procedure will begin soon, according to the interior ministry.
According to Naveed Elahi, a member of the Planning CDA, a few sites are being considered for the stadium’s development.
