Damascus: Syria, ISIS fighters attacked a military convoy, after which a total of 34 people were killed and several wounded in the bilateral firing.
According to the International News Agency, ISIS fighters ambushed a military convoy in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ez-Zor, killing seven Syrian army personnel and 19 pro-government militia fighters.
Eleven ISIS fighters were also killed in the firing by the Syrian army in response to the attack. The clashes erupted when pro-government forces, along with the army, laid siege to ISIS territory.
The clash, which lasted for several hours, resulted in casualties on both sides while the whole area resounded with gunfire and gunfire. The local population has already moved from the area to camps or shelters.
It should be noted that the government has relinquished control of many areas of Syria, but ISIL fighters are still fighting against government forces in some areas.
