In a ceremony held in Islamabad, Youth Council Pakistan member Shiraz Ahmad receives Pakistan’s first-ever Climate Champion Award from Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The prestigious recognition highlights Ahmad’s groundbreaking efforts in combating climate change, particularly through large-scale tree plantation drives and innovative climate education programs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
His work, in collaboration with the British Council and the National Rural Support Program (NRSP), continues to promote environmental sustainability while empowering local communities to take an active role in climate action. Through impactful initiatives, Ahmad sets a new benchmark for environmental advocacy in Pakistan.
