The PIA plane was seized on court orders for non-payment of dues
National airline PIA plane has been taken into custody by Malaysian authorities. According to details, PIA’s Boeing 777 plane was taken into custody by local authorities at Kuala Lumpur airport. PIA flight PK895 arrived in Kuala Lumpur from Karachi today. The PIA plane was taken into custody in Malaysia on court orders.
The PIA aircraft was seized in Malaysia for non-payment of lease dues. The PIA had leased the Boeing 777 from a Vietnamese company in 2015. A PIA spokesman said a PIA plane had been intercepted in Malaysia on court orders. PIA and a party had filed a lawsuit in a British court over the matter and the case is pending.
Passengers will be properly cared for until the issue is resolved. The PIA spokesman added that they are trying to resolve the issue. The seizure of the plane on court orders in Malaysia is an unfortunate situation. “This is an unacceptable situation, the passengers are being taken care of”.
