Facebook today announced the suspension of former President Donald Trump until at least 7 January 2023 – two years after he was initially suspended.
Facebook (FB) said the circumstances will be assessed if they want it to be permitted.
The move guarantees that Trump cannot post on his Facebook account, which had ten million followers, before the mid-election of 2022. But the announcement by Facebook leaves open the option of lifting his suspension before the presidential election of 2024.
Nick Clegg, vice president of the company’s world affairs, announced that Facebook had just ended once two years “Experts will examine whether the public safety risk has decreased. We will evaluate outside factors, including violence, peaceful assembly restrictions and other markers of civil unrest. If the public safety hazard is determined to still seriously, the restrictions are extended for a certain period of time and re-evaluated until the risk decreases.”
