France has objected to the release of three men jailed for the killing of French nationals in Afghanistan. A statement released by French foreign ministry on Sunday says ” France is particularly concerned by the presence, among the individuals liable to be released, of several terrorists convicted of killing French citizens in Afghanistan”. Meanwhile, the Afghan government and the Taliban are set to meet to initiate intra-Afghan peace talks
