French Ambassador summoned by the ministry of foreign due to French President Emmanuel Macron anti-Islam statements.
A statement issued by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the French Ambassador would be summoned to the Foreign Office to protest the insulting sketches. He called on the United Nations to take immediate notice of the anti-Islamic statement.
“We will record our protest against the anti-Islamic statement. No one has the right to hurt Muslims,” he said.
Furthermore, the Foreign Minister said that the irresponsible statement of the President of France has added fuel to the fire. The seeds of hatred that are being shown will have dire consequences.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan wrote a letter to Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg to ban anti-Islamic content.
Prime Minister Imran Khan demanded that the ban on Islamophobia and anti-Islamic material like the Holocaust be imposed.
He said that Islamophobia content was being spread on social media and Facebook, adding that such content was fueling hatred, extremism and violence.
